Vision

In this year's Annual Report, Pastor Jay talked about the Lord's leading in this vision for reaching our communities with God's grace and mercy.

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

One year ago, at our annual congregational business meeting, we corporately accepted the challenge put before us by the Elders to take on the responsibility of sharing the grace and mercy of God with every person in Hartford and Litchfield Counties. (We're calling this Sharing Grace & Mercy: The Gospel for Connecticut)

How could we reach over a million people with the grace and mercy of God? We began to watch and see where God was already doing that, both nationally and locally. Nationally, through our pastors' conferences, I was hearing of this strategy called "multisite." Locally, we learned that Walnut Hill Community Church had already begun four multisite congregations and so we talked to them about their ministry.

After further study and prayer, the Elders endorsed a plan to begin a multisite ministry here at Valley

Over the last six months, our staff has worked hard to prepare the multisite plan. Frankly, to produce this plan was a lot more work than I first estimated. But it has been so refreshing because preparing the plan has forced us to re-clarify God's priorities for us here at Valley."

A multisite church is one church meeting in multiple locations - different rooms on the same campus or different locations in the same region. A multisite church shares one vision, budget, leadership and board.

With a plan to launch several new campuses over the next five years, there are and will continue to be many exciting changes taking place at Valley.

Grace & Mercy Banquet

The Riverview, Simsbury

Valley members and attenders are invited to attend the Grace & Mercy Banquet where the vision for reaching 1.2 million people in Hartford and Litchfield Counties will be celebrated.
