Giving Campaign

The Vision

We want to relationally share God's Grace & Mercy with every person living in Hartford and Litchfield Counties. This involves 1.2 million people. It's a God-sized dream. Read more on the vision.

The Plan

  1. Launch multisite congregations beginning fall 2014.
  2. Support and invest in our church plants - Northwest Hills in Torrington, Valley Brook in Granby, and Christ Proclamation Church in Windsor.
  3. Work with other local churches.

Multisite: Raising $5 million over 5 years to reach 5 communities

Our goal is to raise $5 million over the next five years. By 2019, our hope is to be a church of five campuses throughout Hartford and Litchfield Counties. Our first multisite campus is in Bristol, Ct.

The Sharing Grace & Mercy Capital Campaign has two phases:

Downpayment

  November 1 - December 31, 2013

Raise $1.5 million down payment that will be used toward launching our first multisite campus and upgrades to the Avon Campus.

We raised more than 80% of our goal. If you have not made a gift and wish to, checks can be made payable to VCBC. Please include "down payment gift" in the memo line and send your gift to the attention of the Finance Office.

5 Year Campaign

  January 2014 - December 2019

Raise an additional 3.5 million dollars in commitments to be paid over a five-year period. We kicked off this phase with the Gracy & Mercy Banquet on Friday, January 17, 2014.

If you wish to be a part of this campaign, download a commitment card and return it to the Finance Office.

Grace & Mercy Banquet

Valley members and attenders were invited to attend the Grace & Mercy Banquet in January of 2014. It was exciting to share the incredible vision God has shown us of sharing the Gospel relationally with 1.2 million people in Hartford and Litchfield Counties. At the banquet, we announced that the first multisite campus will be located in Bristol.

We were honored to have Dr. Clive Calver and Pastor Craig Mowrey of Walnut Hill Community Church with us. They shared their similar calling to reach 1.1 million people living in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. They shared with us stories of God's redemptive work, but also the cost as their ministry has now expanded to five locations.

Pastor Chris DeArman challenged us to pray Luke 10:2 every day at 10:02 - a.m. or p.m.! Are you still praying?

Finally, Pastor Jay Abramson asked you to commit - commit to pray for two towns and commit to give towards the five-year $3.5 million dollar goal.

The response was overwhelming. To date we have received commitments totaling $2.7 million. Thank you. Maybe you couldn't make it that night. You can still participate if that is how God is leading you.
