Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. We would be honored to have you join us

Children & Students

We encourage families to worship together on the weekend, and then choose children's programs and communities for middle school and high school students. During the week, we offer age-specific clubs and gatherings for children, middle school and high school students

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

At Valley Community Baptist Church, we value knowing the truth of God and obeying His Word. Senior Pastor Jay Abramson is the lead teaching pastor. We invite you to listen to the latest sermon series.

World Outreach Weekend

November 2-4, 2019

Our theme focuses on the least-reached people groups of the world. We're not just talking about remote regions: "the 31" refers to 31 "Frontier People Groups," representing 300 million people who are unlikely to hear of the grace of Jesus even once in their lifetimes.

The math: A "Frontier People Group" is a group with over 10 million people and a Christian population of less than one-tenth of 1%. That's one Christian out of every 1,000 people.

The mission: Valley partners with missionaries to five of these groups: Hausa (Nigeria), Moroccans, Turks, Uzbeks, and Yemeni. We will raise awareness, prayer, and support to help complete the Great Commission by "Reaching the 31."

WORLD OUTREACH Thanksgiving Offering

November 2-26

Give online now

Yemen's hunger crisis due to its civil war is the world's worst, according to the United Nations. About 85,000 children have died from malnutrition. Fifteen million people are in dire need of food. One of Valley's missionary partners lives in the Middle East and oversees relief efforts. Half of this year's Thanksgiving Offering will go to assist him.

Youth Challenge of Hartford plans to expand its capacity to serve men and women facing the challenge of addiction. Valley funded the first phase of expansion and hopes to complete the project with half of this year's Thanksgiving Offering.

Donations will be taken during worship services and may also be made online. Click here to give now. Select “WO Thanksgiving Offering” in the “Choose Designation” drop-down box.
