Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. Worship Service Times & Styles

Each weekend, there are six worship services in two locations: Sundays at 10 a.m. at Greene-Hills School in Bristol. Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 8, 9:30, and 11:15 a.m in the Sanctuary in Avon. There's also a service at 11:15 a.m. at the Avon Campus in The Venue. There are communal dinners on most Saturday and Tuesday evenings at the Avon Campus. We also meet as small groups and classes throughout the week.  We look forward to meeting you.

Avon: 590 West Avon Road, Avon, Connecticut. Get directions and contact information.

Bristol: 718 Pine Street, Bristol Connecticut. We meet at Greene-Hills School in Bristol.

Children & Students

We encourage families to worship together on the weekend, and then choose children's programs and communities for middle school and high school students. During the week, we offer age-specific clubs and gatherings for children, middle school and high school students

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

Click on the link above to buy tickets for any performance through EventBrite. Tickets will be sold in five distinct seating areas. Please note there is no individual seating. Here are the five seating areas and prices:

Premium (Main Floor): $25. These are the first four rows of the four center sections on the main floor.

General Seating (Main Floor): $16. This is everything on the main floor beyond the Premium seats.

Wheelchair Seating (Main Floor): $16. There are eight spots available at each performance for those who must stay in their wheelchairs throughout the show. For those utilizing wheelchairs who can sit in a regular pew seat, purchase a Premium or General Seating (Main Floor) ticket.

General Seating (Balcony): $10. Seats toward the front of the Balcony.

Limited View (Balcony): $5. Seats toward the back of the Balcony, where some views are obstructed. There are large TV screens in the Balcony to aid in the viewing experience.

FAQs About Ticketing

 

What do I need to bring to get in?

Please bring your printed tickets, which will be scanned as you enter. There is no will-call.

What if I lose or forget my printed tickets?

Tickets may also be scanned through the EventBrite App, which you can download and contains your ticket barcode.

May I get a refund? 

Yes. Refunds are allowed up to seven days before the performance. Refunds will be managed through the EventBrite site. Because most performances sell out, we are allowing refunds 7 days in advance to release the tickets to others who want to attend.

May I give away my ticket(s)? 

Yes. This year we want to bless as many first-time guests as possible. Feel free to give your tickets away to someone you know, or leave them at the church for someone who was unable to purchase tickets. (On weekends, leave them with the Welcome Desk attendant. During office hours on weekdays, leave them with the receptionist.) 

What seats should I purchase if I’m in a wheelchair? 

There are eight spaces, at the end of rows, that can accommodate a wheelchair. Simply purchase one of the eight “wheelchair” accessible tickets available for each performance. If you are arriving by wheelchair but will sit in a regular seat, please purchase Premium or General Seating tickets for the main floor. 

What if I arrive late for a performance? 

For staging purposes, the doors must close just before the performance. As space allows, guests arriving late will be seated in the balcony, regardless of seats purchased. Please allow extra time to ensure you can use your tickets.

What is "limited-view" seating? 

The back area of the balcony features seats that cost only $5 because the front of the stage is not visible. For your $5, though, you do have large TV screens in full view, and of course the immediacy of the live music. It's not the full experience, but for less than half the cost of a movie ticket, we believe there's good value in this seating option!

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that OK?

Yes. 

If the performance is sold out, is there a waiting list? 

No, but keep checking. Tickets may be refunded up to seven days before the performance. These tickets would be available through EventBrite.

Is there childcare available during the performance? 

No.

WHAT IS THE GIFT?

We cordially invite you to The Gift, a musical drama about the life of Jesus. The musical is fully-staged with a live orchestra, singers, dancers, kids, and even a few live animals! The Gift features not just the familiar Christmas story but also Jesus' miracles, teachings, His death on a cross, and the shocking event that changed the course of humankind forever.

All performances take place in the Sanctuary at Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon. The show runs two hours, with no intermission. Tickets sell fast, so we encourage you to make your purchase soon for this family-friendly holiday event. Credit cards and debit cards are accepted.

 

YOU CAN PLAY A PART

All of the stage roles are cast, but you can still play a part in making The Gift a memorable experience. We're looking for ushers, ticket-takers, greeters, and others to make the "House" a welcoming, professional environment.
